Bob Stockman is Chairman of REVA Medical’s Board of Directors. Mr. Stockman provided the initial start-up capital after the Company’s founder and angel investors began operations and has provided the Company with strategic and operating guidance since its inception. Mr. Stockman is also President and founder of Group Outcome LLC in Princeton, NJ, a merchant banking firm that deploys capital in healthcare leveraged buyout transactions and medical device startups. He and his partners have been founders and CEOs of 16 successful medical products companies. He received his MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth and a Bachelors degree from Harvard College.
Brian Dovey is a Managing Director of Domain Partners, a leading healthcare venture capital firm. Prior to joining Domain, Mr. Dovey was President and Chief Operating Officer of Rorer Group, a NYSE pharmaceutical and medical device company which was later acquired by Rhone Poulenc. Mr. Dovey earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree at Colgate University.
Daniel Frank Former Managing Director for Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. (2001-2009). Previously, he served as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at ACI Capital Strategic Fund, a New York-based hedge fund, and as a portfolio manager for Chaterjee/Soror Fund Management. From 1979 to 1996, Mr. Frank was employed by Fidelity Management and Research as Assistant Portfolio Manager to Peter Lynch on the Magellan Fund and as sole Portfolio Manager of the Fidelity Strategic Opportunities/Special Situations Fund. He served on the Board of Directors of i-STAT Corporation from 2001 until its sale to Abbott Laboratories in 2003 and currently sits on the boards of Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals (MIPI, NASDAQ) and Aton Pharma, Inc. Mr. Frank received a BS in Business Administration from Boston University’s School of Management in Boston, MA, and was ranked by Barron’s Magazine as one of the “Top 100 U.S. Mutual Fund Managers” in 1996.
Gordie Nye is a Managing Director of Group Outcome, LLC, and the CEO of Zeltiq Aesthetics. Previously, he was CEO of REVA Medical and President and CEO of two former Johnson & Johnson divisions – "A" Company Orthodontics and Critikon – after they were acquired in management buyouts. Mr. Nye received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College where he also received his undergraduate degree.
Jay Venkatesan, MD is the Founder, Portfolio Manager and Managing Director of Ayer Capital Management, a global healthcare long-short equity fund. He was previously a Director at Brookside Capital Partners, the hedge fund group affiliated with Bain Capital, where he participated in overseeing the portfolio’s healthcare investments and was involved in evaluating public and private investments in all healthcare subsectors. Dr. Venkatesan founded and served as CEO of Varro Technologies, a knowledge management software company focused on the life sciences and was involved in healthcare venture investing at Patricof & Co. Ventures and consulting at McKinsey & Company. He received his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine, his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Williams College where he was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
