Mechanical Engineering Technician
REVA Medical, Inc. is seeking a motivated, hands-on Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team.

Assist design, process and development engineers in developing designs, assembly and test methods, defining manufacturing instructions and developing supporting documentation. This position will be responsible for technical functions in support of R&D activities including assembly of stent device prototypes using a microscope and minimal manufacturing instructions, developing and fabricating assembly and test fixtures and performing inspections and tests using micrometers, microscopes and optical systems. You will be required to assemble and troubleshoot custom equipment and fixtures, and to maintain precision tooling, fixtures and molds. You will be expected to understand and communicate test data and observations, as well as write appropriate engineering reports and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an AA degree and 5-10 years of experience. Must be able to utilize standard lab, test and measurement equipment including, Instron tensile tester, microscopes, optical measurement equipment, etc. Requires the ability to use computer-based tools. Candidates may be asked to provide examples of written reports or documentation and/or complete skills assessment tests during the interview process. Machining/Fabrication proficiency is required. Familiarity with interventional cardiology products manufacturing and knowledge of polymers is a plus. Experience in a regulated development or manufacturing environment, knowledge of FDA regulations and/or ISO procedures preferred.
