The Company's flagship product is a bioresorbable coronary stent that is designed to fulfill the temporary need for a stent and then fade away, leaving only the healed vessel behind. This product promises to revolutionize the treatment of coronary artery disease. The Company is also developing an ultra-thin balloon expandable nickel titanium stent and radiopaque, bioresorbable embolic beads for the treatment of uterine fibroids and other applications. REVA Medical has a broad strategic relationship with Boston Scientific Corporation, a worldwide developer and marketer of interventional medical devices. The Company is also certified to the ISO 13485:2003 standard. Unique Stent Geometry - Slide & Lock Design
REVA was founded around a novel slide & lock design. Unlike traditional stents, the slide & lock design does not deform as it expands. Rather, a series of stent elements slide open and then lock into place. this unique feature makes it particularly suited for use with polymer materials and virtually eliminates stent recoil.

Unique Material - REVA's Proprietary Bioresorbable Polymer REVA's chosen polymer - a tyrosine-derived polycarbonate developed by researches at Rutgers University - was developed specifically for vascular stent applications. It offers sustained biocompatibility, mechanical properties for stent performance and clinical visibility, all desired features for optimal polymer stent performance. Unique Potential - Steel-like Performance in a Polymer Stent By applying novel design and biomaterials solutions, we have created what we believe is a significant advancement in bioresorbable stent technology. In preclinical testing, the REVA stent performs comparably to commercial steel stents in critical parameters including strength, flexibility, recoil and visibility with no change in clinical practice. The RESORB (The REVA Endovascular Study of a Bioresorbable Coronary Stent) first-in-man clinical trial was initiated in June 2007 to evaluate the safety of the REVA Bioresorbable Coronary Stent for the treatment of coronary artery disease.
