Advanced Biomaterials and Design
Better by Design
REVA has invented, co-invented and licensed a broad portfolio of proprietary technologies. REVA considers its patent portfolio to be significant and has invested considerable time and funds to develop and maintain it. Currently, REVA technology is protected by more than 250 patents and pending applications. The ReZolve™ Sirolimus-Eluting Bioresorbable Coronary Scaffold is the first product that combines REVA’s core technologies to create a clinically relevant solution that may improve cardiovascular health.
Bioresorbable Polymers
REVA scientists, working in collaboration with Rutgers University, have developed a family of proprietary bioresorbable materials for a variety of medical applications. REVA can produce polymers featuring a wide range of material characteristics, including tunable resorption times and adaptable physical properties. REVA’s polymers are also uniquely visible under x-ray. In addition, the polymer can be used to deliver therapeutic drugs.
Slide & Lock Design
REVA’s proprietary scaffold geometry utilizes a patented "slide & lock" mechanism that can provide strength and flexibility to a range of stent applications. The design is ideal for use in devices that utilize bioresorbable polymers. When used in metallic configurations, the slide & lock ratcheting design provides and ideal ultra-thin and ultra-flexible product for neurological and peripheral vascular stent procedures.
